The weather cools down…
and suddenly everything feels a little heavier.
Your energy drops.
Your emotions feel closer to the surface.
Things you thought you were “fine” with… come back.
And you start thinking, “Why am I going backwards?”
You are not.
Nothing has gone wrong.
There is a natural slowing down that happens this time of year.
Less sunlight.
More time indoors.
More space to think… and feel.
And when you are already navigating something like separation, it can amplify everything.
So instead of fighting it… what if you worked with it?
Lower the pressure
You do not need to do as much right now.
This is not a high-energy season.
Create warmth
A candle.
A warm meal.
A cosy space.
Small things that make you feel safe again.
Move gently
Not intense workouts.
Think walks, stretching, yoga.
Support your body, do not push it.
Stay lightly connected
Even a quick message or short call helps more than you think.
Let yourself feel it
You do not need to rush through this.
Sometimes saying, “this feels hard today” is enough.
Because this is the truth.
You are not going backwards.
You are moving through a season.
And like all seasons… this one will pass.
