Letting go like the leaves…
What this season can teach you about moving forward
The other morning, I noticed it for the first time.
Leaves scattered across the ground.
Golden, soft, completely let go.
And it made me pause.
Because trees do not fight this.
They do not hold on tighter.
They do not question whether it is the “right time”.
They just… let go.
And I wonder sometimes, why this feels so much harder for us.
Especially after separation.
Because letting go is not just one thing.
It is everything.
The life you thought you would have.
The version of yourself you used to be.
The certainty. The plans. The future you had pictured so clearly.
Of course it feels hard.
For a long time, I thought moving forward meant having it all figured out.
Having a plan.
Feeling strong.
Being “over it”.
But that is not how it works.
Not really.
The truth is… moving forward often looks much quieter than that.
It looks like sitting with the discomfort instead of pushing it away.
Letting the emotions come without trying to fix them straight away.
Taking one small step, even when you are not sure where it leads.
It looks like softening.
And here is the part I did not realise at the time.
Letting go is not something you do once.
It is something you come back to… again and again.
In small moments.
In unexpected ways.
In quiet realisations that you are ready to release just a little bit more.
And here is a little secret I have learned along the way…
Letting go does not mean losing everything.
It creates space.
Space for calm.
Space for clarity.
Space for something new to come in.
But you cannot receive what is next if your hands are still tightly holding onto what was.
If you still have moments where you notice myself holding on.
To thoughts.
To worries.
To things I cannot control.
And when you do, come back to this image.
Leaves falling.
Effortless. Natural. On time.
Not forced. Not rushed.
Just ready.
So if you are in a season where things feel uncertain…
Maybe you do not need to have all the answers right now.
Maybe this is simply your season of letting go.
Gently. Gradually. In your own time.
And if you are craving support through that process — a space where you can release, reset, and reconnect with yourself…
This is exactly what we create inside the Re-Charge Divorce Coaching and Retreats.
A place to pause, to breathe, and to step into what is next… when you are ready.
Because you do not have to hold it all on your own 🤍
